about

Originally called ‘En Rose Jeg Har Sett’ (I Have Seen a Rose), this traditional Norwegian song of forlorn love was collected by Jon Anders Halvorsen from the oral tradition in Telemark. Our friend and well-known traditional singer, Steve Byrne, produced this fine Scots translation.
